Helping Small Pets Find Great Vets

The Small Pet Vet Directory is a free, community-driven resource connecting rabbit, guinea pig, and chinchilla owners with qualified exotic animal veterinarians across the United States.

Our Mission

Finding a veterinarian experienced with exotic small animals can be difficult. Many general-practice vets do not treat rabbits, guinea pigs, or chinchillas, and owners often drive hours to reach a qualified clinic. We built this directory to solve that problem.

Our goal is to maintain the most comprehensive and accurate listing of exotic pet veterinarians in the U.S. — completely free, with no ads and no paywalls.

How Clinics Are Verified

We take accuracy seriously. Every listing goes through a verification process including community submissions, data cross-referencing, clinic claims, and community check-ins from real pet owners after their visits.

How to Use the Directory

  1. Search by location — Enter your ZIP code or city on the home page to find nearby vets.
  2. Browse by state — Visit the states index to explore all listed states and cities.
  3. Filter by species — Use our species pages for rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas.
  4. Check in — After your visit, log a check-in to help other owners and keep listings current.
